What Does Ultrasonic Emulsification Mean to the Hemp Industry?

Why are leaders in the hemp industry so interested in ultrasonic equipment that can produce nanoemulsions? It’s a good question – and we have a very good answer!

Have you ever wondered why the majority of hemp products are available as oils? Well, the extracts from the hemp plant that are the active ingredient in so many products are naturally oily.

The problem is that your body doesn’t do a very good job of absorbing oil. In fact, it is estimated that your body will only be able to absorb xxx% of the CBD in the many popular oils that are being marketed these days.

That’s why there is a growing demand for water-soluble hemp products, which provide enhanced bioavailability and, therefore, are so much more effective.

What Is Enhanced Bioavailability and Why Is It a Good Thing?

Merriam-Webster defines bioavailability as: “the degree and rate at which a substance (such as a drug) is absorbed into a living system or is made available at the site of physiological activity.”

To put it in simpler terms, enhanced bioavailability means that your body is able to more easily absorb and more easily make use of a substance – in this case, hemp.

The enhanced bioavailability of water-soluble hemp has definite benefits, such as:

  • The human body will absorb about ten times more of the hemp than it would with oil-based hemp products.
  • Smaller doses are needed.
  • Water-soluble hemp mixes easily with both hot and cold beverages.

Where Does Ultrasonic Emulsification Come In?

If you want to produce hemp products with enhanced bioavailability, you have to transform the hard-to-absorb cannabinoid oil into a water-soluble emulsionUltrasonic equipment is what is needed to get the job done.

The fine print: The scientists here at Cannasol Technologies want to be sure you understand that there is no such thing as 100 percent water-soluble hemp. That would require a change to the molecular structure of the hemp. Using ultrasonic emulsification equipment, however, can produce hemp that is “effectively” water-soluble
